Hej derude. Vil høre om der er nogen, som har lyst til at kigge min engelske stin igennem, og se om der er nogle fejl. Jeg har skrevet et essay om Barack Obama.

Kh Sofie.

Tak på forhånd

I have chosen Barack Obama because I think he is a very interesting person, because for our generation, Barack Obama will always appear as something special, almost symbolic: the first black president in the world's most powerful country who has had their share of race disturbances.

Barack Obama was born to a white American mother, Ann Dunham, and a black Kenyan father, Barack Obama Sr. who were both young college students at the University of Hawaii. When his father left for Harvard, she and Barack stayed behind, and his father ultimately returned alone to Kenya, where he worked as a government economist. Barack's mother remarried an Indonesian oil manager and moved to Jakarta when Barack was six. When he turned sixteen he returned to Hawaii, where he was brought up largely by his grandparents. The family lived in a small apartment - his grandfather was a furniture salesman and an unsuccessful insurance agent and his grandmother worked in a bank - but Barack managed to get into Punahou School, Hawaii's top prep academy. His father wrote to him regularly but, though he traveled around the world on official business for Kenya, he visited only once, when Barack was ten. Barack has one half-sister, Maya, which was born from his mother in 1970.

Barack Obama is married to Michelle Obama. Michelle Obama was born on January 17, 1964 in Chicago, Illinois. In June 1989, Obama met Michelle Robinson when he was employed as a summer associate at the Chicago law firm of Sidley Austin. They began dating later that summer, became engaged in 1991, and were married on October 3, 1992. Together they have two children, Malia Ann born in 1998, and Natasha born in 2001.

One thing that makes this person very special is that he is the first African-American man to be elected President of the United States. Another thing that also makes Barack Obama very special is when Obama in his speeches do not say 'I', but consistent 'we', 'us', 'you' and 'USA', he creates with his words a sense of community that is very strong. There are three words that have been important for his career, and it is the words “Yes, we can!” because when Barack Obama says the words, he tells the U.S. That they must stand together about everything and that he makes his decisions together with the society.

Barack Obama puts much emphasis on the word "renewal". And under are fifteen items that will make the U.S. a better place to live. Some of the items are: Focus on middle class, health insurance, poverty, withdrawal of the Iraq-war and Better conditions for veterans.

Barack Obama has also written two books. The first book is called, “Dreams from my father” and the second book is called, “The audacity of hope.” There had also being written two books about Barack Obama, where authors write about how Barack Obama’s live will change and about his promises.
