Good news
Mark was walking the streets of London. He loved being in London, and he found it very interesting to explore everything. He was just about to walk into a café, when his phone rang. It was his mom calling from Glasgow. When he saw that it was his mom calling he was very excited, because they didn’t talk much. He answered the phone, and heard his mom’s voice:”Hi Mark, guess what?”
She sounded very excited.
“Hi mom, what’s up?”
“You will never believe this!”
“What is it?”
“Your dad and I are coming to visit you!”
“WHAT, I thought you couldn’t afford it, what happened?”
“We won the lottery!”
“For real? Oh my God, that is amazing. When are you coming?”
“Our plane will be in London airport tomorrow at 10 am, can you come pick us up?” “Of course, I’ll be there!”
“Great, well I guess we’ll see you tomorrow.”
“I guess so.”
“Bye Darling.”
“Bye.”
Mark could hardly believe it. It couldn’t be true. He had been waiting for these kind of news for a long time know, he really missed his parents. He hadn’t seen them since he moved to London 3 months ago. He didn’t know a lot of people, and from time to time he got kind of lonely.
So he was really looking forward to seeing them. He’s mom and dad was just like his best friends. He could talk to them about everything. After he heard the news, he rushed to the super-marked so he could buy some treats for tomorrow. He wanted everything to be perfect for his parents. On his way to the super-marked he called his only friend in London, Jessica. He wanted to tell her, because she knew how much his parents meant to him. He could hear that she was excited for him when he broke the news. He invited her to come have dinner with them the next day, so that
she could meet his parents. She said she would love to. When he was done shopping he went home to start cleaning his apartment. He wanted it to look nice and clean for tomorrow.
