Denmark
I have choose Denmark as my topic because the country Denmark is very important and means a lot to me, since I myself am a young girl living in Denmark. Although Denmark is a small country it is still widely reported and known especially among countries in Europe. It is a respectable and admirable country and I am very proud that I live in Denmark and can call myself a Dane.
I have lived in Denmark for 13 years. My family immigrated to Denmark from 13 years ago. My mother is originally from Lebanon and my father from Iraq. I feel that I have in some cases a very different view of Denmark, compared to other young Dane of my age. My background enables me to view Denmark in a differential aspect compared to other Dane. I am very grateful for and appreciate all the opportunities that Denmark has given me and continues to give me such as education and wide range of experiential opportunities. I am incredibly grateful that Denmark has been so welcoming and taken with open arms towards me and my family. I am very thankful that I have had the chance to come to Denmark because I know I wouldn’t have had the same educational opportunities and experiences if I lived in Lebanon or Iraq who are my parent’s original home countries.
Since I came to Denmark, I've tried to customize the Danish culture that I am in many ways very fascinated by. It's been incredibly difficult for me to adapt an open culture like the Danish, because my parents' culture is very stuffy and different in relation to the Danish culture. There are many differences between the Danish culture and the one my parent’s practices. One of the major cultural differences that have been very difficult for my parents to accept is that it's okay that boys and girls attend in the same class and to see boys and girls communicate and be friends with each other. In Iraq and Lebanon are boys and girls not allowed to go in the same class. I think that many immigrants and especially my family and parents have been really good at adapting to the Danish culture but still retain their cultural dignity and norms. Over the years my parents have lived in Denmark, they have opened up more and more against the Danish culture. For example, we are over the years started to spend Christmas at my home which I think is very good and nice because I really like the feeling and mood in the Christmas But also because I feel I have more to talk about with my Danish friends, my family also celebrate Christmas as the traditional Danish way, with Christmas trees, Christmas decorations, gifts and of course, rice pudding.

Nu tager jeg lige nej-hatten på og giver dig et råd, som du slet ikke har bedt om.
Uanset hvor fremragende dit oplæg om Danmark er, så duer det ikke til FS10 (eller FSA for den sags skyld). Jeg er meget overrasket over, at din lærer har godkendt din disposition med Denmark som topic, da det bestemt er imod reglerne, og jeg er sikker på, at censor allerede har påtalt det overfor din lærer. Du skal kunne tale ud fra engelsksprogede kulturer og samfund. Jeg går ud fra, at din disposition allerede er underskrevet og sendt? Ellers kan du jo stadig nå at lave det om.

Min lærer har selv sagt at denmark er et af vores tre emner som vi kan vælge mellem. Hun har så min disposition og sagde at den var rigtig god så tror ikke der kommer til at være nogle problemer angående selve mit emne, men ville bare have hjælp til at se om jeg har oversat det det rigtigt :-) men tak for dit svar.

Jeg tog mig den lejlighed at kigge på det. Flot arbejde. Der er lige to markerede ord jeg ikke kan se sammenhængen i, men det finder du ud af.
