Engelsk
rette engelskstil? :)
Hej!
Jeg tænkte på, om der er der nogen der vil rette min engelskstil for fejl? (Den går ud på, at man skal fortælle en udveklingsstudent der kommer til Danmark, om skolen)
See you in september
Hi Amy, how are you doing?
I can’t wait to see you in september, i’m sure you are going to have a great time. Let me introduce you to the school here in Denmark. The school is located in the middle of a little city called *******. Right next to the school is a nursing home, a dentist, a grocery and a kindergarten, so you can probably imagine the traffic in the morning. There is about 500 students at our school, and the school is divided in three parts. From 1st to 3rd class is called first vintage. 4th to 6th grade is called second vintage and 7th to 9th grade is called third vintage, which you are going to be in. When you are in third vintage you are allowed to leave the school during breaks. You can go home if you have forgotten a book or something, or you can go to the grocery to buy lunch. There is also a small shop at the school where you can buy your lunch: it has bread, yoghurt, water and juice. You can also choose to bring your own food, that’s what most people do. The school also have a library, where you can go on the computer, borrow a book or study.
The school starts at 08:00 am and stops about 2-4 pm. School always ends at at 1 pm every Wednsday because there is a meeting at the school for the teachers. We have homework to do everyday, and we have to write an English and Danish essay once every two month. We have tests about three times a month, and that can be a bit rough sometimes. When the class starts and teacher comes we all have to sit at our seats with our books and papers ready. In the classes we are allowed to use our computers to write down notes or to seach for information about the subject we study.
At our school, there are a couple of rules. You can’t smoke at the schools area. Bullying is strongly forbidden. You may not use your mobile phone, only if you have to see what time it is and it has to be on ”Quiet” during the classes. We have no uniforms, so you can take your own clothes on. The typical outfit of a girl is just jeans and a top with a cardigan. Guys normally wear sweatpants and a t-shirt.
I hope that gave you an idea of what the school is like and I hope you’re looking forward to start in your class. See you in september!
Sincerely **********

"to seach for information" -> "to search for information".
"smoke at the schools area" -> "smoke on the school grounds"
"so you can take your own clothes on" -> "so you can wear your own clothes".
