Hej. Jeg har brug for lidt hjælp, til at rette min engelsk stil. Håber I vil hjælpe! 

In America 44 % of the population suffer from obesity, while the in Denmark it’s only 16 %. Therefore will I in this essay focus on the difference between the eating habits in America and Denmark, so I in the end can compare America and Denmark and give my suggestion to why the Americans is so obese.

The food culture in America is influenced by many things. One of them is that everything has to be as quick as possible. For example are the TV dinners very popular. Some years ago it was almost impossible to imagine families watching their favorite TV show while eating. Today it is a norm of life. People no longer have time to make their own food. That’s why fast food is very popular in America. Homemade food is no longer that popular, because it’s faster to buy some precooked meals, than standing in the kitchen for hours.

But there are people, who still think about what they eat and their health. They prefer high quality food. For those people exists a lot of books and TV shows about cooking.

In America you can always find restaurants with different types of food, such as Chinese, Japanese, Italian or Russian.

 
The food culture in Denmark is based on the three main meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food is often fat and far from healthy. The food culture is made through raw materials, the Danish values, knowledge, economy, education, technology etc.

Therefore is the Danish food culture constantly changing. Especially because of the different flavors, we take with us home from our journeys. The Danish food culture is however moving away from the fat meals.    
The Danish people get more and more aware about what they eat. We are also more willing to spend more money of high quality products than the people in America.

Based on this I can conclude, that the difference between Denmark and Americas eating habits is, that we aren’t that busy as America. The Danish people often don’t have anything against standing in the kitchen and make homemade food every night. The problem in America is fast food.
