I have chosen to rewrite the texts to a 30-year-old scientist. I assumed he works a lot and therefore does not have the time for a dog. I have deleted all about how much love he will get in return and replaced it with how little it takes. I have also assumed he has a family. Now the text is not only directed to one person but also to the family.
The original text appealed to pathos. After I have rewritten it does it both appeals to pathos and logos. Pathos because it promises too make your family content. Logos because it appeals to the realistic sense.
The headline appeals to the emotions. It does not directly benefit the sponsor but it will make his family happy. It is easier to target the text to the family instead of him because children are generally fonder of abandoned dogs than a 30-year-old male scientist.
