I would like to introduce my article by giving a compact statement. I will also involve our topic “innocence and experience”.
I have chosen the perspective to Vincent the older brother. I believe that many will and can relate to the problem of losing a family member, maybe not a family member who is that close as Vincent and his innocent younger brother Joshua are.
I have chosen to call attention to the mental conditions Vincent is going through and at the same time I want to bring some attention to how the police see the accident and how they react and think about car accidents generally. It gives us a valuable view to see how the professional society (police) and the primary socialization (persons who are really close to the victim) react and behave in such a tragic situation.
The language I am using has a considerably of how this case is presented. My article has to be neutral because it is an article, but I have chosen the selection of who is speaking very carefully, so I can make sure that I am giving the recipient my sight of the case. When the psychiatrist is speaking the language is being more formal and professionally because of her position. The headline has to catch the reader that why I chose the headline “Little brother dead on spot”, using the word “Little brother” makes it more tragic, because it has something to do with a child. Many people find it “easier” to sympathize with children than adults. The reason to that would be that children are innocent who make them more vulnerable and defenceless.
I hope the recipient sympathizes with the family and think about how important it is to drive carefully.
