Dear Prime Minister

We are writing to you concerning a judgement about an execution of Derek Bentley. We cannot accept the judgement. The guy Derek Bentley has not done anything wrong. With the words: “Let him have it Chris” he did not feel “shoot him Chris”, but in return, he felt “give the gun to the officer Chris”. We can’t understand how this sentence can be misunderstood, of the law court. We intensely feel that Derek Bentley has been treated unfair of the law court. We strongly feel that he is innocent when he does not have a part in the police officer’s dead. But even though if he had a part in the officer’s dead, the punishment is very hard. We all know that Derek Bentley has an IQ of 66 and a mental age of nine. Therefore must he be considered as a nine years old boy. If there is a guilty in the murder, it’s only Christopher Craig who is guilty. The hardest punishment you could give Derek Bentley could be a mental treatment. We are hoping that you, the Prime Minister of United Kingdom can help us.
