The financial crisis had a major effect on the Danish companies. It caused companies to streamline themselves to be able to adapt to the fierce competition. Several businesses closed their doors and went bankrupt. This meant that many employees were fired. One of those were Danske Bank wich suffered from a huge economic impact and had to cut down their costs. This paper takes the development of Danske Banks strategy during and after the crisis, in to discussion. The banks economic development in the time from 2009 to 2012 will be explained and it will be analyzed with the culture and management strategi as its main focus. Furthermore will it be discussed how the developments in employee turnover and efficiency has evolved in recent years and the consequences hereafter. What does Danske Bank do to retain its employees? Finally there will be an analysis of the two main branches on Fyn, in wich the internal situation will be discussed and analyzed for the impact of performance and employee turnover.
