Children and traffic
Here in the country adults builds houses and cities, roads and streets for adults. Afterwards – maybe a bit too late – they discover, that there are also children. It has now been proof, that children do not know how too look after themselves in the traffic, before they are about twelve years old. In Denmark more children are killed in the traffic then most of the other European countries. An examination has shown, that a lot of children are more afraid of cars then anything else in the world. This fear can mean a great deal for the development of the child. We don’t know how much. But we know, that it is bad for a child to grow up in fear. The lead gasses from the cars make children stupid. And they cannot outgrow it. Nobody speaks about, what this is costing society. We know nothing about, how the other 200 lead gasses deflects on the child and its development. How will the children react, when they one day realise, that we have poisent the environment and themselves? Most of the children in Denmark are city-children. City-children are lead-children.
