Though I think that buy nothing day is a good idea, I don’t believe that everybody will respect and obey the idea or even understand it. Maybe it could have worked in Europe. But I simply don’t believe that the people of the United stats could do it, only for the reason that I think that they are extremely superficial, of course not every American citizen but the majority of them are just shallow.
I am aware that I can’t blame the Americans for the greed in the world.
The reason why I am lead to think that, could be because of “the American dream”, the believe that you can come to a city or for that sake anywhere, being miserable and broke and ending up happy and rich. That’s just not realistic.
The believe that money can make you happy, is wrong. Nothing can ever make you as happy as family. But there is nothing to do, the humans will always look for the greater luxury, it has only grown worse over the years.
It is also terrible that people spend more time on earning money not having enough spare time to settle down maybe start a family, some peoples only concerns in life are their job or how much they make for a living. People spend money on a lot of expensive and silly things like very expensive furs and they don’t realize that the fur they`re looking at could be from a in dangerous specie, and its peculiar that they don’t think more about it. Thinking about it`s sad.
My hopes are that people will become less superficial, and open their pretty eyes and see that what they are killing are themselves, their home, and the world. They keep wanting more and more in the end there is no more left. They need to wake up and realize that money won’t make them happy, give them more friends or help them with their self-confidence.
Money won’t help you living your life. Family will and should always be more important then pieces of paper. Talking about family I hope and believe that they could make it, I think I could do it, I admit that mostly of my money goes to shopping, parting or just café trips with my girlfriends.
I don’t know what to think about that day, it sounds interesting but in the same time impossible.
