Nogle mennesker er temmelig overtroiske. Min mor er et af dem. Hun er forfærdelig. Hun har lykketal og lykkedage, og når en sort kat krydser hendes vej – ja, så er det sket med hende.
Mor læser sit horoskop hver uge. ”Læse” er måske det forkerte ord, hun studerer det omhyggeligt. Hun er født i Løvens tegn, og jeg ved ikke rigtig hvorfor, men det spiller en stor rolle i hende liv. ”Løver er charmerende og intelligente,” siger hun. Mit indtryk er, at de er overtroiske og elsker at koste rundt med folk. ”Nå, Barbara, kan du gætte, hvad mit horoskop siger i dag?” spørger hun hver søndag morgen, så åbner hun avisen og læser højt: ”De vil få et spændende brev eller (en) telefonopringning som vil føre til en rejse.”

KAN DETTE BRUGES ?
Some people are rather superstitious. My mother is one of them. She is awful. She has lucky numbers and lucky days, and when a black cat crosses her way – yes, and then it is all up with her.
Mum reads her horoscope every week. “Reads” is maybe the wrong word, she studies it painstaking. She is born in the zodiac of Leo, and I don’t quit know why, but it fills a lot in her life. “Leos are charming and intelligent,” she says. My impression is that they are superstitious and love to push people around. “Well, Barbara, can you guess, what my horoscope says today?” she asks every Sunday morning, then she opens the paper and reads out loud: “You will receive a letter and a phone call which will lead to a journey.
