Danish people
The article is written by Lara Engstrøm. It was published in a Danish magazine ”Samvirke January 2001. The article is about Denmark and how people from other parts of the world look at Denmark.
The Danish people are satisfied with their country, but when it comes to foreigner’s Denmark is not an attractive country. The reasons why foreigners come to Denmark are either because of love or education. The 34-year-old Masahide Nomura from Japan and 62-year-old Nancy Canon both came to Denmark because of their relationships. Andrea Creutz moved to Copenhagen because she wanted to go to the artacademi. Her imagination about Denmark was romantic and she thought that a lot was going on in Denmark. During the last 7 years she thinks that Stockholm has taken over this position.
Masahide met his wife in England 10 years ago, and hi did not know anything about Denmark. Hi think it was caused failing information about the country.
Nancy got disappointed when she first moved to Denmark from California. During the last 25 years she has changed her opinion. Efter being divorced from her husband, she is still satisfied with her life in Denmark. Her daughter has moved back to USA, but her son is still living in Denmark.
Masahide moved from Tokyo to Denmark with his wife. A life in Denmark has given him more sparetime and he like the Danish system.
When all three persons are asked about if Danish people allow foreigners to get integrated, they cannot mention any particularly problems. Andrea thinks that it is because the Japanese and American have married into Danish culture, and Danish and Swedish almost are the same.
To the question about how it is to have a Danish partner, Nancy and Andrea explains that they have not realised differences. Masahide however has realised that the equality is more spread in Denmark then in Japan, which gives a more intense relationship.

The Danish people (Danes) are satisfied with their country, but when it comes to foreigner’s Denmark is not an attractive country (foreigners).
The reasons why foreigners come to Denmark are either because of love or education. The 34-year-old Masahide Nomura from Japan and 62-year-old Nancy Canon (hvorfra er hun) both came to Denmark because of their relationships. (ville sige married to Danish men)
Andrea Creutz moved to Copenhagen because she wanted to go to the artacademi. (attend the Danish Academy of Art/attend the academy of art)
Her imagination about Denmark was romantic and she thought that a lot was going on in Denmark. (omformuler, du bruger to forskellige tider her. Kunne sige følgende og få samme mening frem:
She imagined Denmark to be romantic and she thought that Denmark throbbed with possibilities.
During the last 7 years she thinks that Stockholm has taken over this position. (Behøver ikke at sige she thinks that, bare she thinks og sig i stedet:
She thinks Stockholm has replaced Denmark in this matter.
Masahide met his wife in England 10 years ago, and hi did not know anything about Denmark. (he og ikke he)
Hi think it was caused failing information about the country. (Sludder sætning. Omformuler til måske:

During the last 25 years she has changed her opinion.
Efter being divorced from her husband, she is still satisfied with her life in Denmark. (After divorcing her husband)
Her daughter has moved back to USA, but her son is still living in Denmark. (ikke USA, men the U.S. eller the USA, eller the United States of America, ville også bruge her son still lives in Denmark, der er ikke grund til at bruge udvidet tid, men det kan godt gå i dette tilfælde.)
Masahide moved from Tokyo to Denmark with his wife.
A life in Denmark has given him more sparetime and he like the Danish system. (skil spare time, og ikke he like men he likes)
When all three persons are asked about if Danish people allow foreigners to get integrated, they cannot mention any particularly problems. (God nok formulering, men den skal bare se sådan her ud:
When all three persons are asked whether Danes allow foreigners to integrate or not, they cannot mention any problems in particular. eller bare they cannont mention any particular problems.
Andrea thinks that it is because the Japanese and American have married into Danish culture, and Danish and Swedish
almost are the same. (egentlig godt nok, men omtaler du ovenfor bare en eller to personer, hvis det er en person altså du refererer til de to personer så er det godt nok, men hvis det er flere så husk s på American. Danish and Swedes erstattes med Danes and Swedes)
To the question about how it is to have a Danish partner, Nancy and Andrea explains that they have not realised differences. (Sluddersætning. Lav den om til noget i denne retning
Being asked about how it is to have a Danish partner, Nancy and Andrea say they have not seen any differences.
Masahide however has realised that the equality is more spread in Denmark then in Japan, which gives a more intense relationship (Lav om til:
