Welcome to our school! Before you arrive there is a lot of things you should know about. Starting with the education I will tell you everything you need to know. Tivoli is a international known pleasure park in the heart of Copenhagen. Tivoli was established by Georg Carstensen in 1843. The doors were opened on the 15’Th of august. The gardens area is almost the same as in the old days, but in 1843 Tivoli was located outside Copenhagen’s Vesterport.
Forlystelsesparken blev stiftet som et aktieselskab, hvor mange af aktionærerne var de håndværksmestre, som deltog i opbygningen.
Tivoli blev d. 25 juni 1944 bombet af en såkaldt dansk modstandsgruppe. Det var dog ikke tilfældet, det var en tysk Schalburg-gruppe, kaldet Peter-gruppen, der bombede Tivoli som hævn for en bombning af en dansk virksomhed, der fremstillede våben til tyskerne. De fleste københavnere vidste dog godt, at det var en Schalburg-gruppe som stod bag. Efter bombningerne var Tivoli meget slemt beskadiget.
Tivoli er det mest besøgte forlystelsespark i Danmark. 3.500.000 besøgte Tivoli i 1995.

The amusement park was founded as a limited company where many of the shareholder’s were workmen who participated in the construction.
The 25th June 1944, a so-called Danish resistance group bombed Tivoli. But this was actually not the case. A German Schalburg-group known as Peter-gruppen bombed Tivoli as a pay back for a bombardment of a Danish company, which manufactured weapons to the Germans. Most of the Copenhagener new this secret about the Schalburg-group was the real perpetrator. After the bombings, Tivoli was awfully damaged.
