Rettelse af oversættelse

Hej, ville lige se om min oversættelse kunne få lidt rettelser. På forhånd tak!

There are only few female politicians in Ireland. Those who are have had to fight a hard struggle because both the church and the law have been against their commitment in the public live. The law, which definitely hindered this, prohibited women to be public employees from the second they got married. Later it was changed to a prohibition against public hiring from when they got their first child.
But now Ireland has gotten a female president, the lawyer Mary Robinson, who has fought in years for bigger equality among the sexes and who has participated in changing the mentioned law. A lot of women have almost too big expectations to her effort. Those, who for instance dreams about getting a divorce, will probably have to wait a long time, because even though you can be separated, the Catholic Church is still strong an opponent of divorces, which also is forbidden by the law.
