Overall in our society we are surrounded with machines, computers and robots, which all stimulate to be intelligent. They solve many problems and personal I could not imagine a world without these things. They are indispensable.
I think there are both positives and negative things about the development of robots. I find many of the ideas from text B very interesting. The idea of a bed which rocks you to sleep and shake you awake would be very practical. No problems with the alarm clock anymore. Also the idea of a talking stove would be interesting and certainly you could transfer the idea to other objects.
