Tony´s story is about two young indians from a little pueblo.It takes place one hot summerday on San Lorenzo´s day, when the rain did not come and the tumbleweeds turned brown and died.
Leon is Tony´s friend, probably his best friend came back from the army. they enjoyed the party so long, when the cop Appeared. He was a typical statecop, doesn´t have a human face, little, round and whiterimmed eyes on a black ceremonial mask.
He walked through the crowd, kept pushing his way towards Tony and Leon. in one move, he hit Leon down with his fist, he didn´t said anything at all. He claimed himself as a racist and likes to beat indians.
From that day on, Leon had bad feelings to the cop. He decided to kill that cop, because he wants to clear up the mystery. He had been thinking that it might be the cop, who curses the indians with the drought.
One night Tony had a bad dream about the cop and Leon. In that dream he saw Leon being killed by the cop. He instantly warning Leon about the strange dream, but Leon wouldn´t listen to him, he didn´t care about it. But anyway, Tony gave him an arrowhead to protect him. Leon doesn´t believe on that stupid believes. He took a .30-30 (rifle) with him, Leon is not only scaring the cop, this time is real.
Exactly what Tony feared, Leon shot the cop, and burned his body to get of the evidences. Right after it began to rain. The weather might had been something to do with the cop, maybe a curse. And now it´s lifted.
