This is England
Facts/movie: The movie is called “This is England” and it is a authentic drama which plays on in almost 100 minutes. It is directed in 2006 by Shane meadows who is a famous film-maker in Britain, and also the director behind “Dead man’s shoes” and “Twenty Four Seven”.
Summary: ”This is England” is about a small boy called ”Shaun”. He is 12 years old. He does not have any friends in school and get bullied every day. His father died in Falkland-war and therefore he is very upset and confused.
One day he got beat up by a kid from the school, and on the way home he meets some skinheads.
Even though they are older, they become his friends and they hang out together. Shaun also gets the same haircut and clothes like ”skinheads”, but they are not racism.
Woody become a father for Shaun and he is also the leader in their crew or gang. Shaun has finally some friends.
In the gang, Shaun meets his first love ”Smell”, and they are happy for each other.
One day a evil man, ”Combo” get out of jail and he shows up with ”Banjo”. He wanted to takeover the gang and have some politics against black people. Woody do not like ”Combo” and ask which side his friends are on, but sadly ”Shaun” leaves him and ”Combo” is his new best friend.
After that ”Shaun” is also become a bit evil and he started to hate the black people because ”Combo” has turn his hate for the war has taken his father in to racism, and the entire situation get bad in the neighbourhood.
Persons:
Woody: He is the leader of the gang, and hate ”Combo”
Lol: She is Woody’s girlfriend.
Milky: He is a black boy and the is Woody’s right hand in the gang.
Gadget: He is a fat boy, and feels like a outsider when Shaun joined the gang. He also leaves Woody’s gang.
Smell: She is Shaun’s girlfriend, and she thinks he is cute.
Banjo: He is a racist and looks like a very sick man. He is Combos bodyguard.
Combo: He is very angry at black people and have been in prison for Woody.
My opinion: I think the movie was very great and it shows a fine picture of the 80’es how the black people was treated in England. But I want a bit more violence for give the film a extra credit.

Jeg har rettet et par stavefejl og kongruensfejl, men kan ikke lave andre ordvendinger (selvom jeg ikke kunne lide nogle af dem), da det jo skal skrives på din måde. Jeg har også prøvet ikke at bruge andre ord end dem du selv bruger.
