Heysa, tænkte om nogle lige havde tid til at rette lidt på mit engelske.
Hilsen Christina :-)
This story shows how a man suddenly experiences the real life. When Lockhart found this girl, he is being surprised at such a young girl is not a student, but a homeless person. He thinks that young people are all students, and homeless people are elderly. But he realized the real life with this episode.
George Lockhart sounds like a pleasant (sympatisk) man, when he offering the girl to come inside his flat to sleep there. This is not a “normal” reaction. I would never offer a stranger homeless person to come inside my house. Lockhart’s neighbours’ react quite normal, when they said to the girl to go away. So it shows that Lockhart is a “very” nice guy and he hesitates not to invite people inside his home.
Lockhart is a lonely man and it sounds like he misses his ex-wife, Elaine. He is talking about that Elaine got his and hers old double bed there is very comfortable. And he has now a expensive bed, scientifically designed for the sleepless, but single. This tells that he miss Elaine a lot, somebody to share his life with, he want a double bed. And he must be a very alone person, because he notices all sounds around him, and not just ignore it and do something ells.

This story shows how a man suddenly experiences the real life. When Lockhart found this girl, he (got) surprised (because) such a young girl (was not) not a student, but a homeless person. He thinks that young people are all students, and homeless people are elderly (too). But he realized the real life (through) this episode.
George Lockhart sounds like a (sympathetic) man, when he (was) offering the girl to come inside his flat to sleep there. This is not a “normal” reaction. I would never offer a (strange) homeless person to come inside my house. Lockhart’s neighbours’ react quite normal, when they (encouraged) girl to go away. So it shows that Lockhart is a “very” nice guy and he hesitates not to invite people inside his home.
Lockhart is a lonely man and it sounds like he (is missing) his ex-wife, Elaine. He (talks) about that Elaine got (their) old double bed (which) is very comfortable. And he (now has) (an) expensive bed, scientifically designed for the sleepless, but single. This tells that he (is missing) Elaine a lot, somebody to share his life with, he (wants) a double bed. And he must be a very (lonely) person, because he notices all (kinds of) sounds around him, and not just ignore it and do something (else).
