Hej jeg har været igang med at skrive en engelsk opgave om amishfolket, så vil være meget taknemlige, hvis der evt. var nogen, som vil hjælpe mig med at rette det.

Amish People
I would like to tell you something about the Amish people, their culture, their special way of living and of course something about their old fashioned live. I had read about this topic because I wanted to know some thing about other cultures and, when this is a very interesting an different culture, it caught my interesting.
The Amish originally come from European countries, they come from Switzerland, Germany, France and Nederland. In 1730 the first group of Amish people went to USA, they settled in the city called Lancaster Country, which lays in the east part of Pennsylvania. After that a lot of people settled in other states and some settled in Canada. Now a day the Amish people lives in 24 states in USA plus in Canada, Central America and South America.
They was a group of people who meant that baptism was for adults, so they wanted to divide the state and the church, they felt that the church was too slack about their discipline. This happened during the sixteenth century, lesser than 100 years after the reformation. The Amish people are Christian, like many other religious persuasion Protestants, Catholics etc., they worshipper a stiff kind of Christianity. The Amish people wanted every thing to be strict, the church, the lows, their own culture, for instance if you had broken any of their rules, will you immediate be expelled. They have got a special way of being, they refused to carry weapon and to use electricity. A very special thing about them is, that they wants to make live harder than it is, for an example do they take of the rubber from the wheels and drives on the steel only. They make everything in an old-fashioned way, their reason for that is that “they don’t wants to be slave of progress”. Amish people have a kind regulation, where they have a lot of rules, if you not respect them, you will shun. An example on that is that you may not have car license, and it isn’t allowed to have insurance. The doesn’t believe in hospital, but they only believe in herbal medicine. But in emergency cases they bring the sick person to hospital. Many people think that Amish people is daft, but it is just their way of living, they mean that modern life make them get stress.
