Work experiences

I worked in Bang and Olufsen as a chemistry engineer. My “leader”/boss was an old man who had worked in B&O in almost 20 years. He started to tell me about the most important process in the factory, where they made the parts to televisions, phones, cars etc. It was very difficult because it was chemistry on a high level, but I learned it! My first day started with an introduction about all the places in the factory, what the workers actually did in that factory, and I became friends with some workers. After lunch we checked the colours on all the products, wrote them down and got the information’s in a program on the computer. We tried also to come new colours on the products, but it did not work and the “project” failed (actually we tried with green and red). On Tuesday I worked with to women, their name was Merethe and Karin. Merethe and I made some analyses. It was nice and funny because with one of our experiments the concentration was from the beginning blue, then brown and at last pink. After that Karin gave me a big book about aluminium so I had to read a chapter, when I finished she gave me some purposes. (On my level)
On Wednesday I worked with Jesper Abell. He told me about chemicals, what a specialist did, about the theory for gluing. We were in his special office, too, where he gave me some examples about gluing the products.
On Thursday I was with Naja who was still studying. She told me about the education to become a chemistry engineer and showed me some experiments. Then Ib and I checked the plastic and aluminium process. He told me about plastic. Later I meet Hanne M, she told me about environment.
On Friday Ib and I were at a meeting, and I did not do anything else that day. At last I got a little present. So all in all it was a little bit boring with all the meetings, but I learned a lot, so about the week it was quite nice.
