2. Seattle says the water is not something they drink, it is more, it is the blood of their ancestors, it means the water is a memory for them, therefore it is precious and means a lot for them!
And the land is everything for them. They look at it as a mother so it is understandable, it is like the relationship between my mother and I (for example)

3. obviously, because we are lots of people on the earth, and we need more to eat, to drink etc. and as a addition we also pollute very much nowadays.
