Rette på mit abstract

18. december 2007 af luktho88 (Slettet)
Hej

Problemformuleringen lyder(i kort version):

"Redegør for uafhængighedskrigen, analyser centraler tekster for debatten om union eller stat. Redegør ligeledes for den amerikanske forfatning og hvordan magtbalancen her kommer til syne."

Abstract:
"The study investigates the foundation of the United States and the debate between the federalists and the anti-federalists. First of all the paper explains the different aspects of the American Revolution. Then, it analyzes different key texts in the debate, including the United States Constitution and the balance of power the constitution establishes. Finally, the study puts the debate into perspective through the history of the United States. To examine the American Revolution the study involves a comprehensive amount of literature. The different books each contained different angles on the war, which provides a better understanding. To get a thorough view of the debate and the diverse opinions this paper analyzes three different “Federalist Papers”, “The Articles of Confederation” and “United States Constitution”. Particularly the “Federalist Papers” by Alexander Hamilton, James Madison and John Jay are outstanding examples of the disputed matter between the federalists and the anti-federalists. The Parliament of England increased the taxes in the colonies, which in the end led to massive conflicts and “the Declaration of Independence”. After three years of heavy fights and two years of negotiating, the Americans were finally free. Then they had to connect the thirteen states into a firm union according to many prominent people. In 1781 the states established this union with “the Articles of Confederation”. But these articles were too weak to govern the republic and many rebellions rose in the states. A national convention drew a new and stronger constitution that could guard the republic interests. But many citizens feared that the new constitution would recreate the English circumstances and bring forth tyranny. Nine states needed to ratify the constitution, and a heave dispute began. In the state of New York, three shrewd men wrote 85 essays called the “Federalist Papers”. These papers argued that a strong union could ensure the interests of the states. There is no doubt that these papers had great influence on the final ratification in 1787."
