The purpose of this paper is to analyse MLK’s speeches when he was the leader of the civil rights movement.
The purpose (of) is to see if MLK’s ideology and attitude is changing in the period, and if the “non-violence” method was effective to improve the conditions for the black people.
Based on an analysis and a comparison of MLK’s speeches from the period of 1957 to 1968, evaluates if there has happened a development.
His ”non-violence” ideology, which introduces in the first speech, did not change.
On the other hand changes the contents in the speeches from being philosophical to be more focused on actions and dealing with the social problems all over the world.
The whole way through all three speeches, does he use/ make use of the bible as an argument to/of his own attitudes/stance
What makes the speeches so special, is the rhetoric with among some of them the metaphors and the repetitions.
Herefter diskuteres moral og nytte med inddragelse af to andre borgerrettighedsbevægelser, ”The Black Panther Party” og Malcolm X, som begge havde voldsbaseret ideologier.
After this discusses/debates and effectiveness with involvement of two other civil rights movements “The Black Panther Party” and Malcolm X who(m) both had an ideology based on violence.
MLK win on the moral, while the two others win on effectiveness
My evaluation is that MLK’s dream came true in the black society, where he has improved theirs conditions of life, but there is still a lot of financial, social and racist problems in the USA.
