Teksten:
I think that in order to solve the mystery of genetic diseases, we have to do stem cell engineering or just genetic engineering in general. Again, I think that it is okay to use genetic engineering, when it is used to cure or correct physical defects in unborn children, but I don’t think that it is ethical properly to use it in order to show the world one’s designer ability.
In other words I think that when it is used to design your own child, we have gone too far. Stem cell engineering is mentioned in the article called “Five “designer babies” created for stem cells”, which is about five babies that were born after a technique called ‘preimplantation genetic diagnosis’, abbreviated to PGD. This was used to test embryos for tissue type matches, to the delicate siblings.
The five babies are curiously enough called “saviour siblings”, which due to the research in stem cells, are able to treat children whose disease is not genetic. The way I understand this stem cell engineering with the “saviour siblings” is that they simply make a “copy” of a healthy embryo, so that when the baby should ever get seriously ill (leukaemia or Diamond-Blacktan anaemia (DBA)), there’s a possibility that a transplantation of stem cells from the “copy” (the saviour sibling) can cure the diseased baby.

hej.
har nogle kommentarer:
du skal ikke skifte mellem at sammentrække og ikke sammentrække ord, det er enten it is eller it´s.
"about five babies that" - brug who i stedet for that
"research in stem cells, are able to..." skal det ikke være "is able to..."
"genetic. The way I understand this..." det er fordansket, kan du ikke omformulere?
har kun lige skimmet teksten, men håber du kan bruge mine rettelser og bære over med mig, hvis det ikke er 100 procent korrekt - man er vel ikke ekspert.
