hej. vil nogle af jer rette i min engelsk essay, da jeg ikke er speciel god til engelsk?

The short story “Lies” by Ethan Canin, is about an 18 year-old boy named Jack. The boy gets kicked out of his house by his father, and he gets his first job as a movie projectionist. In the movie theater, Able’s, where he works, he falls in love with a girl named Katy. Sometimes Jack got warnings by Mr. Able’s, because he is together with Katy in the room and he forgets to change the reel. Once Katy told him that she loved him.
The first time he met Katy was at the theater. Jack was together with his friend and suddenly Katy was sitting next to Jack. After the movie they talk a little and they were going on few dates after that. They were to her sister’s wedding and we are going to know that they are going to be married in November.
One day Katy comes in a Cadillac while Jack is sitting in the theater. He walks out to Katy and they were on the way to Fountain Lake and he says to Katy that he loves her.
Jack wanted to things: to get out of the house and to go up to Fountain Lake with Katy and he got both.
The narrator of the short story is an 18 year-old boy named Jack. He works as a movie projectionist at Able’s and lives in fear of forgetting to change reels. He is finish with High School and he thinks it is a relief. Jack relates that his mother lied to him when he was a young boy. She told him that he could be anything he wanted to be. She says: “Anybody can rise up to be President of the United States.”. But now he is an older boy and he is getting wider, so he realizes that his mother lied to him. Jack has not a very good relationship to his father, because his father has kicked him out, and his father is very bad to say excuse me and pardon me.
Jack is going to be married with Katy. When she said to him that she loved him for the first time, he kissed her and he wanted to tell her that he loved her too, but he could not say it. He does not mind lying, but he did not say that he loved her, so I think he is a little bit shy.
As I have written before, Jack lives in fear of forgetting to change reels. I think the reels navigate his life. He has to think of the reels all the time, so he does not have time to anything.
Jack does not mind lying, but he does not say to Katy that he loves her, when they were kissing together. I think he has had the feeling inside himself that he did not said to Katy that he loved her. So I think when they are on the way to Fountain Lake, he says to Katy that he loves her, because he can has the feeling inside himself, because he has lied to himself – so I think the short story has get the name, because we all lie to ourselves and others sometimes.
