In Two Minds
Janet Moat has with a review commented on the film version of ´´In Two Minds´´. In the review she considers that psychiatric experts believe that Kate wasn’t schizophrenic but depressed and hysterical because of the bad parents and their behavior. Janet Moat says that the experts felled that David Mercer’s play was irresponsible to the way the staff that treated Kate was portrayed. But David Mecer had knowledge to the subject because he once was hospitalized after a nervous breakdown, and it’s quite conceivable that Mecer because of his hospitalization therefore had a similar experience to the one Kate had. It can therefore most likely be an actuality that Mecer had a reason for the way he writes about the staff at the hospital even though the experts might find it irresponsible.
The director Ken Loach has with David Mecer made ’’In Two Minds’’ to a very popular documentary even though the film is fiction. This style mixing documentary and fiction makes the film more real and makes the viewer familiarize themselves with the current subject which in this situation is whether the parents has a big influence on Kate’s possible schizophrenia. The documentary also makes the viewer forget the fiction of the film. It’s very obvious that the parents have a big influence on Kate’s mental statement and you can thus believe that Kate’s illness is very misleading; she can’t take control of her life anymore and her self-confidence is very low, and that’s an option for why she has become schizophrenic.
Today mental illness can be cured by going to psychotherapy or by getting a small dose of drugs, and it’s just as big a part of our day today as it was when ’’in Two Minds’’ was written. Many persons suffer from mental illness and it can therefore be discussed in what way mental illness should be treated today and in what way we do it. Cause mental illness is not just a normal disease that requires medicine in pills but it’s a disease that needs medicine in talk and that’s why we today use psychotherapy where we talk to the person to find out if any bad memories are hidden deep inside so we know what the problem really is. You can also look at the background of the person and the childhood to find any loopholes in the memory. There are many methods and David Laing who believes that schizophrenia is more a ’’particular style of communication than an organic disease of the brain’’ is a theory which supports the play ’’In Two Minds’’.

Rettelse on the way! ;)
I 4. linje skriver du "felled". Det staves "felt".
I 5. linje skriver du "David Mercer". I 6. linje skriver du "David Mecer". I 7. linje skriver du "Mecer".
I 6. linje skriver du "knowledge to the subject". "Viden til emnet"? Det korrekte ord er "about".
I 6. linje skriver du "he once was". Prøv "he was once hospitalized", lidt ligesom "she was always like a feather" :b
I 11. linje skrier du "Ken Loach has with David Mecer". "Ken Loach & David Mecer" holder nok bedre.
I 11. linje skriver du "to a very popular documentary". På engelsk siger/skriver man ikke "to a", men blot "a". "Made it to a" har en helt anden betydning.
I 14. linje skriver du "parents has".
I 18. linje skriver du "option for why she has".
Godt engelsk :)
