Summary:
Amir is living his idyllic live, in Afghanistan: Kabul. His father receives financial success and respect from others. He tells us about his unique friendship/relationship he has with Hassan a Hazara boy who is the victim of discrimination. Amir and Hassan is spending their days with kite fighting, and sometimes Amir is reading stories for Hassan, because Hassan is illiterate. But Amir's father is blaming him for not being manly enough, because he can't stand up for him selves, and because he has discovered the joy of reading and writing books. Assef another boy from their street, he is the dominating boy in their street, and he is blaming Amir for being socialized with a "Hazara", ac-cording to Assef only "pollute "the "afghan blood".
But one day when Amir wins the local tournament in kite fighting, Hassan is going to pick the tro-phy(the last kite Amir cut) and the key to Amir's father heart, maybe that will prove to him that Amir is in somehow manly enough. But unfortunately Hassan is running in to Assef and his gang. He gave him Hassan refuses, and got raped by Assef. While the horrible "thing is happening, Amir is bystander an ultimatum the kite,(key to Amir's father's heart), or something terrible is going to take place, but, he neither call for help or trying to defense Hassan.
After the "Episode" the chain between Amir and Hassan brooked, none of them are talking to each other anymore and the great relationship is starting to equip. And later things is so bad that Ali (Hassan's fake father) decides to move back to Hazarajat. And worse it gets when the soviets in-vades Afghanistan: Amir and his father flees to America where they start over. In America Amir fell in love with Soraya, and married her later. and shortly after his father dies. One day Rahim (his father's best friend) and the one who supported his intention to become a writer calls Amir, and says following: "There is a way to be good again".
Amir travels to Pakistan where Rahim khan lived and Rahim opened Amir's eyes, by telling him a big secret his father kept secret: that he and Hassan were half brothers. Rahim khan tells him about Hassan's and his wife's dead, and beg him to go get his nephew (Sohrab). And he persuades Amir. Amir went back to Afghanistan where the Taliban ravaged. And Amir discovers that Sohrab has been sexual abused by the old identification Assef. And Hassan managed to get Shorab, and took him to America, and in somehow he maybe managed to equal the harm he had done to his old friend Hassan.

My opinion
I would give the movie kite runner 5 out of six stars because Adapted Screenplay was directly from the book, the actors did a great job, the film showed us the problems that Afghanistan is fighting against, the environment was perfect even though the film didn't took place in Afghanistan, it look exactly like it. But the flip side of the coin was: I found the film very discriminating to my racial, because I at myself are Hazara and the film described us as poor serves, with no future at all.

Her er nogle rettelser..

Amir lives an idyllic life in Kabul, Afghanistan.

...discrimination victim..

.. Amir and Hassan spend their days kite fighting

.. reads stories

..Assef, another boy from their street, is the dominating...

.. he is blaming Amir.. = he blames Amir

... resten er altså noget forvirrende noget :s det bliver du virkelig nødt til at kigge på igen.. desuden bruger du for meget af formelen "is .. -ing" det skal du passe på med..

held og lykke
