In ”Smoke” we meet Auggie Wren. Auggie owns his own little shop in what I think is the down town of the city. I don’t think that he owns a lot of money, just enough so he can survive with the shop, and have a small saving account. He is a strange and weird person, who at the first looked a little selfish. He have spent up 5000$ which he should use of some kind of project. The shop that Auggie owns is a little cigar and liquor shop where he is every day from the morning to the evening. Every week the same people come and buy the same things, and I think that some of them are using the shop for some kind of a protection spot.
The 5000$ he have saved up, would he use for buying some illegally imported cigars, but it fails because the cigars were being wet. It was his assistant who done that and he paid Auggie the 5000$ back for the spoiled cigars. But Auggie didn’t want to keep the money so he gives it to his ex. Girlfriend, because that she needs them more than he does. At that time I don’t look at Auggie at the same way, I don’t see him so selfish anymore, but more as a man of honour.
Auggie has a strange hobby he takes pictures from the same spot at the same time, day in and day out. He have a strange story of how he got his camera because it isn’t his, it’s a stolen one.
A young boy steeled a book in his shop and Auggie finds his wallet with his address. Auggie goes to the address hoping that he finds the shoplifter, but instead he finds the shoplifters grandmother.
The Grandmother thinks that Auggie is her grandson because she is old and blind, so because of Auggie don’t have no plans for Christmas he acts so. I think that’s a very honestly thing to do. He spends his Christmas Eve with an old lady, he doesn’t know. And he makes the evening great for the old lady that we later hear was her last Christmas. He did all that without thinking of himself, and therefore I think that he is a very honourably man.
He steels the camera from the old lady’s apartment where there was a lot of them. I would not take for a very hard crime that he steeled it because I don’t think that the old lady even knew that there were some cameras in her apartment. This “crime” led Auggie to his long time hobby: Every morning at precise 8:00 he photographs his store, from across the street. His idea with this is that he wants to capture that exact place, his place, forever.

the down town AREA of the city... just enough so THAT he can survive... savingS account... who at first SIGHT LOOKS (seems?)... he HAS SAVED he should use FOR some kind... (hvad er "protection spot"?)
he HAS... HE WOULD USE... the cigars GOT wet... Who DID that...He gAve THEM to his ex-girlfriend (slet THAT)... look at Auggie IN the same way... see him AS BEING so selfish...
He HAS a strange story... A young boy STOLE and Auggie FOUND... hoping TO FIND... SHOPLIFTER'S... SINCE Auggie DOESN'T HAVE ANY plans for Christmas he GOES ALONG WITH IT... a very HONEST thing to do... with an old lady WHOM he doens't know... AMD WE LATER HEAR THAT THIS WAS her last Christmas... HONORABLE man... I would not take IT for a very SERIOUS crime that he STOLE it... long-LASTING hobby... PRECISELY

In ”Smoke” we meet Auggie Wren. Auggie owns his own little shop in, what I quess, is the so-called *down town* of the city. I don’t think he owns a lot of money, but maybe enough to have a small saving account and enough to survive along with his shop.
He is a strange and weird person, who at first seemed a little selfish. He has spent up to $5000 which he was going to use to some kind of project.
The shop that Auggie owns is a little cigar- and liquor shop, where he spents every day from dawn till late in the evening. Every week the same people come and buy the same things, and I think that some of them are just using the shop for some kind of protection spot.
The $5000 he had saved up, he used for buing some illegally imported cigars, but it failed because the cigars were being wet. His assistant was the forsaker, and therefore he paid the $5000 back to Auggie for the spoiled cigars. But Auggie didn’t wanted to keep the money, so he gave it to his ex. girlfriend, because she needed it more than he did. At that time I didn´t looked at Auggie at the same way as I do now. He does not seem so selfish anymore, but instead he seems like a man of honour.
Auggie has a strange hobby. He takes pictures from the same spot, at the same time, day in and day out. Auggies story of where his camera comes from is quite strange, because it´s a stolen camera!
Once, a young boy stole a book in his shop, but Auggie finds his wallet with his address. Auggie goes to the address hoping to find the shoplifter, but instead he finds the shoplifters grandmother.
The Grandmother thinks that Auggie is her grand-son because she is old and blind. Because of the following misunderstandings, and because of Auggie doesn´t has any plans for Christmas, he ends up by spending his Christmas with the unknown old lady.
He makes the evening great for the old lady, which is quite good as we later hear about it was the old lady´s last Christmas. He actually spent Christmas Eve with the old lady without even thinking of himself, which I think makes him a very honourably man.
But he steels a camera from the old lady’s apartment, because there were a lot of them. I wouldn´t catagorize this as a very hard crime, because I don´t think the old lady even knew there were so many cameras in her appartment. This “crime” led Auggie to his long time hobby: Every morning at precisely 8 A.M. he photographs his store from across the street. The purpose by doing this is that he wants to capture that exact place, his place, forever.
