Hej.

I think that the best way to show a shooting is documentary. Because documentary gives real facts, and do not shows fiction. I think that is the absolute best way to show that sort of happenings.
Another good way to show it is fiction. Because in fiction you can take things from the director’s mind and take things from the real life and link them together – and if a director does that well, it can be outstanding.

Fiction can be extremely realistic. The film “Elephant” showed us that it can be done very well.
I think both “Bowling for Columbine” and “Elephant” was incredible movies, and that both movies makes me think about the shootings – and it learned me a lot more about the terrible shootings.
My favorite shooting movie is “Bowling for Columbine” – Michael Moore is an exceptional director, and he is not afraid about talking to these people who has to do with shootings and shooting laws. An example could be about Charlton Heston. Michael Moore talks and asks him a lot about gun laws and shootings – and it seems like Charlton Heston don’t have good answers to the intelligent questions Michael Moore asks about.
Michael Moore is good to discuss and have some good questions and points.
I think “Elephant” is the 2nd best documentary movie I have seen about shootings – also a very good movie. “Elephant” is good to get knowledge about shootings. It is a very quite movie, they don’t say many words, and I thinks that was successful done in the movie, because it makes the movie more exiting.

You can also use books to show it. I don’t really like novellas and books. They are good because they tell you a lot more than a movie does – more about the perpetrators background and so on. But you can’t really see what is happening, only in your mind, unlike movies you can both think about it, and simply see it with your own eyes.
I also think that books are boring. Movies are more exiting to me and I will every time like to see a film more than read a book.
But some novellas are fine. The novella “Big Mouth and Ugly Girl” was good and better than the average of text levels I have read. It is one of the best novellas I’ve ever read, because it tells the things well and it was nice and pleasant to read.

But fiction, documentary and books all have their strong and weak sides. But all in all I think that documentary is by far the best way to show shootings.
