_Hej, er der nogen der vil se min stil for fejl hurtigt da jeg skal aflevere den i dag. :)))))))
To grow up in Zambia is totally different from Denmark. Zambia is first off all a poor country, and people there see the life with other eyes than the Danish. The culture in Zambia is the same for almost everyone who lives there. Here in Denmark we have many different cultures, because there are many people from other countries who live in Denmark. The text we have listen to in the classroom, is about a young girl who lives in Zambia. She tells about how it is for women in Zambia who is getting married. She described how her own situation was when she became married. She find a man who she want to get married with, but she cannot get married with this man, only if her parents accept him for their daughter.
After my opinion, it is a difficult situation, because what if the parents don’t want to accept him, even if she wants him as her husband? Because maybe the girl know him better than her parents and she is old enough to make her own decision. But in Zambia it is normal to do it in this way, and the girl could accept that, her parents don’t want the man as her husband, so she will live him, for her parents fault.
The good thing I think about this way the girl in Zambia is getting married, is that when she became wife to this man, and maybe get problems with him after a while, then her brothers would help her out of the problems with her husband. The kinds of problems that the brother’s to this girl could be, if her husband maybe beats her or treated her in a way that is forbidden, and then the brothers would be there for her and help her out of the problems. I think that it is a good thing to have like a back-up, because in Zambia it is hard for a girl to get help from other people or organizations like we have her in Denmark, to help women who got beats or treated in a way that is not acceptable.
The relationship between a man and women in Zambia is male dominated. It will say that the male in the relationship is the person who decides everything, and the female must accepted, in that way her husband wanted. It was the same way relationships in Denmark back in time were built on. The Danish man was the one, who decide almost everything, and the only thing the women could do is to accept what her husband wants, but now it has changes in Denmark, and the women have the same status like the man, and maybe far in the future it will change for people in Zambia to, so the women would have the same status as the women in Denmark. But I think that women in Zambia are happy of living the way they do, because they have a different outlook on life than woman in Denmark has.
