Oversættelse - rettelser!

Hej!
Jeg har prøvet at læse min oversættelse lidt igennem, men er helt overbevist om der er nogle fejl (:
Er der nogen som kunne være søde at komme med lidt rettelser? Det er især ordstillingen, jeg er slem til.

A housewife in Detroit was the other day interviewed to an opinion poll about candidate for the presidency of the year. She said, “I do not believe in any of these politicians, the only one I have confidence in is Ralph Nader.”
The whole thing began when Nader, who at that time was a young and unknown lawyer, published a book about General Motors’ “Corvaire”, a car which quality, or rather lack of quality, was indicated in the title of the book, “Unreliable at every speed “.
Because of his book Nader was summoned as a witness to a congress hearing about road safety. During the hearing it was discovered that General Motors had rented a detective to investigate Nader’s private life – in the hope that it could ruin his reputation. Nader brought an action against General Motors and was awarded 270.000 dollars in compensation, which is to say almost two million kroner. That amount made it possible for him to get started. A staff of helpers and lawyers have since published a string, of not only a few products, but also about some industries’ conspiracy against the consumers and about the government’s lack of power and will to step in.
The reports does not only treat a number of cars’ defects but also many television commercials’ untrustworthiness.
There is no doubt that Nader and his organization has had some importance in the rebellion of the young people against consumer mentality and in wider senses their fight against old values and their claim for a better society.
