Miriam is middle – age women. She lives alone. She runs a successful nursing agency. Her husband left her because of her instinct to cheer people up and her husband could not take it anymore. She is regular in hospital for her heart checkup. Miriam is described as a positive person. In the whole story she thinks that she has a perfect life with a great job, and it is her duty to cheer everyone up. But in all that she never notices how lonely she personally is. In the story she meets a depressed taxi driver, and in the whole story she tries to make him happy, but instead she realizes that her perfect life is not really perfect, and she is very alone. She needs some male company in her life.
