This study investigates the qualitative and quantitative content of dyes in green soda produced by Harboe. Among these methods, thin layer chromatography has been used to determine the qualitative content of dyes in the above-mentioned soda, after which the next partial experiment with spectrophotometry is used to find the quantitative content of dyes and hence the concentration of chlorophyll and beta carotene. These experiments lead to the conclusion that green soda from Harboe contains both chlorophyll and beta carotene, where these concentrations in soft drinks are determined to be 6.39 mg/L chlorophyll and 16.66 mg/L Beta-carotene.
