Hej er der nogen der har tid til at rette min engelske stil om min studietur? helst grammatik :D

Malta, baby!

Malta. A country whose name I have heard a hundred times, but never dared or had the opportunity to visit. At least not before my study trip with 2.p which was an unforgettable experience.

The first thing I noticed when I stepped out of Valletta’s airport was the sun warming my back, the only puff of wind I could feel was from the taxis driving by insanely fast. When I closed my eyes I would smell flowers and sweat which reminded me of summer back at home. Wherever I looked, when we were driving to our hotel through the hilly landscape, I saw buildings all in the same color beige. If you just looked at one house it was not pretty, and a lot of the houses were in disrepair, but when you looked at a city with them all together they looked very charming and homely in the green landscape. Driving through the country I quickly got the feeling that Malta was not a wealthy place, but as one of the inhabitants said it: “a little oasis in the Mediterranean, because of its’ nature”.

Before going to Malta I had really high expectations for the trip, especially for all fun I was going to have with my friends. I did not have high expectations for the school part of the trip, because older students from the school had told me that it was like a vacation. That was not the case. My teacher had made a detailed program for every day and my class really experienced Malta. We got all around the Island with seeing the nature and learning the culture by visiting cities. The best school related event on the trip was when we had to visit two cities by our self for at project. My group and I had gotten two harbor cities on the southern side of the island to visit. It took nearly two hours to go there, but that was okay because we had a lot of fun in the busses. When we came to the cities we were surprised over how beautiful there looked and how few tourists there were. We interviewed some of the people and everyone was so kind and helpful that I got total different view on the country. When we left I had this good feeling because I felt so welcome and because of that I would like to visit the country again some time.

My expectations about having fun with my friends were better than I even could have imagined. I lived in a house with six other girls and we had the best time ever! We did everything together and always with speakers playing music in the background.  At night we would go to the boys house and hang out there which was a great time too. I have been on a study trip to Norway before with my class in 1.g and what is so good about them are that you spend all this time with each other and with different people that you do not do in the everyday life.

I will never forget this trip! It was so good that I cannot wait to go next year again.
