1. The verb "PUT" can be combined with other prepositions to give additional meanings. Use one of the following prepositions to fill in the blanks in the sentences below.
away, back, down, in, into, off, on, out, through, up.
a) How annoying of Jane to be late! Im very put "OFF" with her.
b) Children are putting "OUT" a play for Easter.
c) I think Jim is avoiding me, he keeps putting "UP" making an appointment.
d) The childrens mother was upset at the mess they were making. "put that vase "DOWN", and put those toys right "BACK" where you found them!
e) jules put "ON" a high bid for a very rare coin, hes and avid collector.
f) The children played a nasty practical joke on their uncle. who put you "ON" to that?
