er der nogen der har lyst til at kigge min stil igennem for fejl og tastefejl..

har lige brækket min højre arm og er meget klodset med den venstre ;) ydermere har jeg pisse ondt af mig selv så beder derfor en anden om hjælp til at kigge den igennem.. hehe. (den skal først afleveres på tirsdag)

skal jeg lægge den ud her eller skrive en mail? DU bestemmer ;)

her er den:

Witch-girl.

A girl was transformed into a hores by a spell. It was a devil that spelled her into a horse and she got all the things, like hoofs and so that a horse has. Her mother saddled her and rode around Sutherland. Suddenly the law enforcement heard the gossip about them and commenced force-feeding them with straw.
Only the mother got punished. A pious rabble and even the some clergymen ridiculed the girl and made noises as a horse do with its hoofs when it walks. They were contemporary afraid of God and therefore as a religious “duty” they pitied.


The witch, who I think is the mother, was burned in Dornoch and it was frigid but the fire warmed the place up but she dies in a horrible way with cry and pain. The rabble sang hymns of pure horror. People in Dornoch talked about the girl who was transformed in a horse and how she showed her grief while she was ripping her into a bird.

The rabble in Dornoch also talked about how she tried to wash the lameness of that the devil had ascribed to her. She got disrepute in the town and known as something to be pitied. She was contemplated as notable but still worthless.



Nobody could actually se her but considered that they had seen her with the clumsy hoofs in her hands and her staggered walk. Nevertheless they disdained her flowers as if they had grown out of her and gave her some charity because they felt an obligation towards compassion and religious sense of duty. Therefore they turned their charity into hate because and they didn’t make a secret out of the fact that they hated her.
She sold flowers in Edinburgh and Glasgow but she was excluded and therefore she must sleep outside the village on a bench beside the city guard, by the tornegate. The earth and the animals’ cried inside her.

No one was there to help her and no one saw her die if she what so ever is dead. He saw her again washing her lameness of in different rivers of Scotland hearing her breath in the wood and stone.

The last stanza is especially interesting because an “I” suddenly appear in the text. One can interpret it in many ways, but I think that the protagonist criticize the pious mob because they fell that they are coerced to have compassion for the girl or else will God punish them because they aren’t following their duty for Christian charity. The pious hypocrites associate the girl with the devil because she is so different and it draws their attention on what could had happened to themselves and it can appear unpredictable.


The text can be compared with “The Yellow Wall-paper” because the creeping creature, which is Jane, is entirely alone about her abnormality like the girl in “witch-girl” and no one helps them. And the girl in “Witch-girl” is omnipresent like


Jane, the girl in “Witch-girl” sells flowers whole Scotland and she washes her lameness in many rivers. But it can also be compared with “A new Wave” because people feel pity for the developmentally disabled people but actually they disgust them. And in “Witch-girl” the pious mob feel pity for the girl because they are afraid of God will punish them, if they don’t feel compassion for her. But all the developmentally disabled people and the girl want is to be loved and cared about not to be pitied.
In real life one also feels pity for that kind of people and that is wrong because then they feel that there is a differential treatment and all they (the abnormal people) want is to be treated like normal people.

Din fine perspektivering til de andre tekster viser at analysen af dette digt er korrekt, den falder fint i tråd med de andre digte, og jeres lærer har altså helt bevidst valgt at give jer denne opgave i forlængelse af jeres tekstlæsning.

Mit engelsk er ikke perfekt, men nu har jeg da slået ned på nogle af fejlene. God bedring med armen

hey jönsson..

tusind tak for det! ja det har været i forlængelse med noget vi har læst før, men digtet var svært at forstå til at starte med! tusind tak for hjælpen, også med det andet!

Jeg skal lige have på det rene: det du har rettet står efter mit ord også et "/" ikk??

ja nu har jeg så fået af vide at jeg skal opereres i min arm dagen før min fødselsdag!! piv piv!! men det går sku nok..
