I understand the consideration Scanfos may have done about a possible outsourcing of some parts in the production to a lower paid area. It can be a necessity to do if we are going to preserve our competitive power. I see both advantages and disadvantages in starting outsourcing some of the production. If the outsourcing is going to be a success, it is very important that we make preparations for it, because I have written about a lot companies which expectation were a lot higher than the savings were in the end. About every fourth Danish outsourcing do not get the savings that were expected from the beginning which e.a. are caused to a bad preparation, shows a research of the international consultant concern “PA Consulting Group. They have interviewed 50 financial managers from some of Denmark’s biggest companies which altogether sell for 164 billion Kroner annually, and that is about 26.5 billion in dollars.
So there are some risks we have to take into account and consider, if we will be sure that the outsourcing is being profitable.
These are important things we have to consider before starting outsource:
· We lay us self open to increase risks in proportion to the political and financial stability, as we know from Denmark.
· It is an unfamiliar currency than we are used to.
· Scanfos has to operate with a company that is split with production in foreign countries, but that have you of course been used to as you production in Denmark right now, but the culture will for sure be a lot different.
Of PA’s analyse it also appeared that respectively 22 and 27 percent of the financial managers informed that they got less than 75 percent of its expected savings in respectively “outsource other things than IT” and “relocation activities to lower paid countries”. Both expressions cover up of moving out some jobs. When we consider whether we want to outsource or not it is essential that we not only focus on the wages in other countries that typically are much lower than in Denmark.
When we have chosen a potential country to place our production we must examine tings about for instance their infrastructure, legislation, technology, politically conditions and perhaps their educational level. A specialist in outsourcing from Denmark refers in a newspaper to many companies that not think about costs and customer problems in connection with the foreign duty.
Furthermore it is necessary to hire more people to manage purchasing and logistics if Scanfos for example move production to China. A third and very important expense is that a supplier in Denmark or America is required if there suddenly crop up some problems in the country. I can happen that we can’t get home our goods and therefore important to have a reserve stock.

slet "possibly"
some parts --> el: branches
to lower-paid... --> el: to areas where labour is cheaper
If we are going to --> el: if we are to maintain
a lot companies --> lots of companies
a lot higher --> much higher (el: higher bare)
their saving in the end --> than the actual savings
that were --> that are
whose sales.... --> el: who combined rake in (an amazing).... in annual sales.
So there are... --> However, there are....
Cultural differences.... --> el: Cultural differences between domestic and foreign workplaces

Okay det kan formuleres således:
"The chance of facing more unstable political and economical conditions"
Of PA’s analyse it also appeared that respectively 22 and 27 percent of the financial managers informed that they got less than 75 percent of its expected savings in respectively “outsource other things than IT” and “relocation activities to lower paid countries” --> (Hvad vil du sige her.
