In his famous “Chicken Tikka Masala” speech, Robin Cook, the former foreign minister of the Labour party, tries to convince the Britons, that multiculturalism not just alone, is important for the country’s economic and international competitive power, but also is alpha and omega in the international identity. With a delighted enthusiasm for the multiculturalism’s fertility and creativity, Cook attacks in the fear of that UK is under siege, in a condition of finally decline and not a white country anymore. I suppose that his most important argument is that the Britons never had been a homogeneous race, which until now has avoided being pollution of foreigners. On the contrary, the Britons, are a people who, up through the history, are made by many foreigner waves – from Celts, Romans, Anglo-Saxons, Vikings to Normans. The immigration today is only one more wave of abroad influence, which continuing the historic development of humans on the British islands. In that way the prescription on the new national identity in UK is: pour a thick English sauce over a spiced India chicken and serve it warm! I wish you joy of it!

that multiculturalism not just alone, is important > kig lige grundigt på denne sætning igen

for the multiculturalism’s fertility and creativity > jeg tror, det ville være bedre med en of-konstruktion end med en genitiv

Cook attacks in the fear of that UK is under siege > omformuler

finally decline > adj+sub, ikke adv+sub

the Britons never had been a homogeneous race > ordstilling

are a people > kongruens. Du bruger people i betydningen et folkeslag, hvilket betyder sing.

the prescription on the new > the prescription for...

I wish you joy of it > det kan man ikke sige.
