hej, er der nogen der vil være sød at kigge på mit engelsk? Der er nogle steder hvor jeg har sat / = betyder at jeg er usikker på ordet.. men på forhånd tak - og go ferie ;-)

It turned out that just like The Great Father was not glad to have Sitting Bull in his country, neigther was The Great Grandmother glad to have him in her country. He did not get any help in the hard winters and that is why he had to make peace with The Great Father and settle in a reservation in the USA.

Here he lived peacefully, though he could not hide his distrust and his indignation against the whites. Many Indians conseidered Sitting Bull as their leader and a symbol of their resistance. He had also become so well-known (famous) among the whites that William F. Cody, also called Buffalo Bill, took him along in his Wild West Show, which toured in the USA and Canada with a great success.

During the end of the 1880s the so-called Ghost Dance religion spread among the Indian tribes; an Indian messiah was coming to give/would come and give the Indians back what had been theirs, before the whites came. The white leaders in the reservations became nervous and put the blame on Sitting Bull for what they considered to be disturbances.

In December 1890 the Indian Police were commanded/ordered to arrest Sitting Bull, and when some of Sitting Bull’s supporters tried to prevent this, Sitting Bull was killed by a bullet through his head. Sitting Bull’s tribe fled/escaped to other camps. Fourteen days after Sitting Bull’s death the majority/the greater part of the tribe was killed at the massacre af/of Wounded Knee.

Første:
neigther -> neither

Anden:
conseidered -> considered, brug evt. saw eller regarded istedet.

Tredje:
an Indian messiah was coming to give the Indians back what had been theirs

Fjerde:
ordered

Sitting Bull was killed by a bullet through his head -> Sitting Bull was killed by a shot to the head, lyder lidt bedre, men stadig ikke perfekt, det er dog mit bedste bud.

Fled

Majority

Of

Hej Peder.. mange tak for din besvarelse!

"an Indian messiah wanted to come and give the Indians back, what have been theirs - before the whites came"

Tredje afsnit sidste linie:
kan jeg godt bruge "considered" her?
"..put the blame on Sitting Bull for what they considered to be disturbance"

i den sidste sætning er jeg meget i tvivl om jeg skal bruge AT eller OF..

"the tribe was killed at the massacra AT/OF Wounded knee..."

Ville skal ikke forstås som noget han gerne ville, men noget der var forudset, så jeg forstår det som "was going to come, giving the Indians back..."

Jeg mener godt du kan bruge considered.
"..put the blame on Sitting Bull for what they considered to be disturbances" (husk det sidste 's')

Hvis Wounded Knee er et sted, så ja, brug at, hvis det er en stamme eller by, så brug of.
