Chapter 24:
In this chapter Will fells in love in Rachel. They meet each other on New Year’s Eve party.
Rachel is an intelligent, beautiful, humorous and single woman. She illustrated children’s books. Will thinks the only reason to, which Rachel fell in love, was his good-looking and articulate. When they were at dinner together, is Rachel interested for Will. But only the first five minutes.
Rachel asked Will about Robert, which was television producer. Will wanted to say, that he helps Robert with the music in his last film, or that they meets together about to talk the god awful mess, the government’s arts policy. But he couldn’t say it. (i stedet for)he says, that he buys his dope off him long time ago. Robert is a dope dealer, before he became a television producer. He bought some extra dope, and sells it to his mates. Will was going out with one of Roberts friends, therefore gets he also some dopes.
Will thinks that he had lost Rachel and therefore he thinks about something interesting thing in his life, he can tell to Rachel. But the most interesting thing he realized about his life was Marcus. Now they were starting to talk about Marcus. Will tells her, that he didn’t live together with Marcus` mother or that he never planned to live with her.
After talking about Wills life, they began to talk about Rachel’s. Her ex was drunk. Will ask her why they have a child together. But Rachel didn’t answer.
At last in the chapter they kissed each other and before Rachel left, they arranged to meets again.
