..hej er den nogen der kan hjælpe mig med at rette den engelsk oversættelse...
Dansk:
Hvordan bar du dig ad? Spurgte vi, og hendes blå øjne lyste, når hun svarede: man sigter lige mellem øjnene, det er såmænd ikke så svært.
Det var et godt svar, syntes vi, og hun fortsatte i nøjagtig samme tone: nu må i vist hellere se til jeres kartofler. Vi rodede dem frem og lod dem køle af; de lugtede brunt og smagte sødt og godt. Imens fortalte hun andre historier fra den tid, da farerne altid var uden for folk og aldrig inde i dem. Når vi sad i bedstemors stue, følte vi, at intet kunne gøre os fortræd, ikke engang døden. Intet kunne slippe ind i hendes stue uden at skrumpe ind og blive endnu mindre end hun.

"How did you go about it?"* we asked, and her blue eyes shone as she answered; you aim right between the eyes, it is actually not so hard.
We thought it was a good answer, and she continued in the exact same tone; now you must better look for your potatoes. We raked them forward and let them to chill off; they tasted brown sweet and well.
