Hej.. håber der lige er nogle der får tid til at se denne oversættelse igennem for fejl..:o)
"Er vi blevet et samfund af overlevere i stedet for eventyrlystne individer?" spørger en engelsk sociolog.
Hele tiden bliver vi af medierne gjort opmærksom på de farer der lurer overalt: Pornografien på internettet truer med at undergrave samfundsmoralen. P-pillen, som tidligere var forbundet med kvindernes frigørelse, betragtes nu af mange unge som for farlig at bruge, selv om det er sandsynligt, at en uønsket graviditet er mere skadelig for kvindens helbred end brugen af p-piller. De mange lotterier gør os til spillenarkomaner. Mændenes sædkvalitet bliver ringere på grund af ukendte forureningskilder.
Ofte står angsten ikke i forhold til de reele farer, vi udsættes for, men den påvirker i høj grad den måde, vi lever på, og de der udfordrer skæbnen risikerer oven i købet at blive moralsk fordømt for at udsætte andre for fare.
Sociologen slutter med at sige, at et sådant samfund ikke har meget at tilbyde dem, som faktisk vil leve.
”Have we become a society of survivors rather than adventurous individuals?” a British sociologist asks.
In the media, our attention is constantly drawn to the dangers lurking everywhere: On the Internet, pornography threatens to subvert the social morality. The pill which was previously associated with women’s liberation is now considered too dangerous to use by many young people, however, it is likely that an unwanted pregnancy is more injurious to the woman’s health than the use/application of contraceptive pills. The many lotteries make us into pathological gamblers. Men’s semen quality deteriorates due to unknown sources of pollution.
Often, fear is not proportional to the real dangers we are exposed to, but it highly has an effect on the way we live, and those who tempt providence, additionally risk being morally condemned for exposing others to danger.
The sociologist finishes by saying that a society in this manner does not have much to offer those who will actually live

Jeg har lige omformuleret en sætning for dig, som du kludrer lidt i:
