Fedme er blevet et af den vestlige verdens største sundhedsproblemer, ikke mindst i USA.
Hvem har skylden for, at vi bliver overvægtige? Det skal en amerikansk dommer tage stilling til, da den 56-årige Caesar Barber på 120 kilo har anlagt sag mod McDonald’s, som han kræver erstatning af for at have solgt ham mad, der har gjort ham fed.
Barbers påstand er, at han ikke kendte noget til ernæringsindholdet i de burgere og pomfritter, han har guffet i sig fem gange om ugen siden 1950’erne, og som han utroligt nok fortsatte med at sætte til livs efter et par hjerteanfald.
Der er blevet gjort tykt nar af Barber i medierne, som hævder, at han er ude efter nogle lettjente penge, og som mener, at han selv må tage ansvaret for, at hans livvidde er øget voldsomt.
Han støttes dog af en del læger, som glæder sig over, at Amerikas fedmeepidemi er kommet i søgelyset.

An American judge is going to decide on that, as the 56-year-old Caesar Barber, weighing 120kg, has taken legal action against McDonald’s, of which he is demanding compensation for selling him food which has made him fat.
Barber’s allegation is that he did not know anything about the nutrition contents in the burgers and French fries that he has stuffed himself with five times a week since the 1950’s, and which he incredible as it may sound continued to devour after a couple op heart attacks.
The medias has completely ridiculed Barber, which claims that he is out for some esy money, and which means that he must take the responsibility for the fact that his waist width has increased violently. He is however supported by many doctors who are pleased to see, that America’s epidemic of obesity has become the focus of attention.
