Eller jeg kunne bare lægge teksten ud til fri beskuelse :)
Opgaveformulering: How do you feel about the poem? What would make YOU feel succesful?
The poem is very beautiful, and everyone should obey this as guidelines, but that is sadly not the way people live their lives. The author of this poem makes many good points, and he breaks the norms of success by writing about things, that every person can for fill. I can’t help feeling sorry for the ones, who don’t live like this, and that puts me in a very bad position, because I’m one of those. I have always had a strong confidence, and I was certain, that I would be able to accomplish every goal, overcome every challenge, defeat every foe to achieve my goals, but according to this poem, it is not necessarily the way to be successful. Instead of being so self-centred, I should be more aware of my surroundings and embrace life. I am convinced, that this poem would lead me to happiness and glory, but as a confident, young man would it be an impossible assignment for me to cope with, but some of the guidelines would be easy to observe. For instance, I would be able to laugh often and much, because I already do that, and I hold the action of laughing very dear to my heart, but I think the author of the poem has forgotten a vital thing, which I think is more important than laughing: To smile often and much. To smile and laugh are both non-verbal actions, that makes life a lot better. The famous comedian and pianist Victor Borge once said, “A smile is the shortest distance between two people.” That’s the definitive truth, and the author should consider adding the smile to his poem. This poem has opened my eyes in every thinkable way, and it made me understand that the best is not always the most successful one. Nowadays some people are, mostly persons who are obsessed with their career, too selfish to even acknowledge the fact, that this is the way humankind should live. We live in an epoch with equality, globalisation, and stress, so the values the poem presents are pushed aside in order to achieve, what we want and be a success, and the majority obviously thinks the way to do that is by working day and night and they thereby miss valuable time with the family. If that is the price for success, I would actually prefer to live without it. According to the poem, it is not necessary to sacrifice the family to gain success. One doesn’t have to grease up for the boss and work long hours for the slight hope of getting to the top and be a success. One doesn’t have to be rich or famous to become a success but a regular person, like you and me, is just as likely to be a winner and to succeed by living a normal life. It is just a matter of how we live our lives and treat our fellow beings.
My definition of success in life is, when one achieves the goals, one was set out to do. However, what was I set out to do? A question that every individual has encountered in the quest for success, but the goals we make as youngster will be, in most cases, altered beyond recognition when we become adults.
My goals in life are very similar to the ordinary goals every one on Earth possesses. I would like to live out the American dream here in Denmark with loads of money, fame, and fortune. That’s the overall objectives, but the way I’m going to achieve, these objectives will be beyond all measure. First of all, I would make my hometown spotless by picking up the trash and deliver the bottles to the locale grosser, and thereby make the foundation of my wealth. I’m guessing my hometown has approximately 100 bottles lying in the streets, bushes etc. When I deliver the bottles to the grosser, I would earn a decent amount, and the money was not earned by taking advantage of other people, committing crimes, or other destructive methods to raise money but instead by doing a good deed for the environment and the poor peasants of Sparkær. My road to fame and fortune will be a combination of hard work, innovative methods, and projects, which will intend to make the world a little better. All of these planes for success are made on the spur of the moment, so perhaps I will change my mind tomorrow, but some things remain certain; I will always be a helpful man and help the ones who are less fortuned by supporting mentally either financially or both, but I’ll never take the credit for the help. Just off the top of my head, I would say, that I would feel successful if I ended up having a wonderful wife, 3 children, and 30 cats. It would fit me neatly if my wife would be a beautiful, affectionate, and domestic woman, who’ll clean the house to perfection, take care of the children, make tasty dinner, and by the time, she is done doing her chores, she would satisfy me sexually - but the likelihood of any of that ever happening is very small. Besides that, I would like to be free as a bird and do the things that I like to do without my future wife or children interrupting. For an example, every now and then I would like to spend time with my friends who respect me for who I am. In order to be truly successful it’s not enough for me to be respected among my friends, but I need the whole wide world to respect me and appreciate my existence, but endeavour for international acknowledgement does rarely succeed, so how I’m going to for fill that goal hangs in the balance. However, a possibility could be to support Africa and raise the African people’s living standards to European level, or to make a cure for a lethal disease like AIDS, which would mean eternal gratitude. That would be a very memorable act of medical progress, but I can’t see myself, 10 years from now, having a medical job. I could also try to explore the Universe, but that’s probably too expensive. The effort will, without doubt, be remembered and respected. If I am able to look back on at least half of that on my deathbed, I would die as a successful man.

Uhhaa. Det var flere rettelser, end jeg har regnet med, og du har fuldstændig ret i det du skrev i kommentaren nederst. Det var meningen det skulle fjernes, da det hovedsagelig bare en "humoristisk indskydelse".... Men mange, mange tak for din hjælp :)
