I have chosen: The use of fairytales in the daily life.
I chose this topic because; I have a personal interest in books – and specially fantasies and fairytales. I also think that this topic is very useful to another kind of school topic in Danish.
I grown up with fairytales when I was a young girl - I read a lot of books, and specially fantasies and fairytales. Today I think it’s important that children read books, and specially fantasies or fairytales, because they have to get there own imagination – so they can escape from the real world and into there own world. They also get hopes and dreams for the future. I saw for an example a new movie called: Pans Labyrinth. The movie is about a girl who lives in civil war between Franco and some peoples in the mountains and the little girl hates this war, so she got into her own fantasy world – and she imagines monsters and fairies. This is a good example why children need books.
In some fairytales there is a point, and one storyteller – for an example: The Ugly Duckling written by HC. Andersen. There is another kind of fairytales, and these kind of fairytales have no storyteller and no points, but the facts in all kind of fairytales is the same: 3 and 7 number goes against in the story and in fairytales there is monsters, dragons and other magical objects. A fairytale start with the word: Once upon a time – it means that the fairytale is not happen in the real world. The heroes in some fairytales have no names and could be called the boy or the girl.
You know the bad side and the good side in a fairytale; you also know what is right and wrong.
A fairytale end up with a happing ending.
In the old time, it was like a cinema to sitting to getter around a firer and telling fairytales to each others. You must remember that on this time, you don’t have play stations and movies. Today fairytales is an important part of Denmark, and you must read some books by HC. Andersen.
If you went to Copenhagen and see the little mermaid –you don’t know what she is doing there, if you don’t have read the fairytale.
