Billy Eliot

Billy is a 11 years old boy, who live with his brother, father and grandmother. Billy’s mother died when Billy was still an infant. The whole family lived of the money, which Billy’s father and brother earned as proud miners. In spirit of the fact that they have not enough money for more than just necessary food, does the father let his son go boxing. He starts taking some boxing lessons, which he is forced to, but chooses to take ballet lessons without his father’s knowledge. I find Billy brave, even when he knows that his father will get very angry does he begin dancing. When his father finds out, does he forbids him to carry on with the ballet lessons, but he keeps on going to ballet behind his father's back.. Billy is very good at dancing, which make him get into the royal ballet school. But Billy had separated the dancing classes from the family. I find Billy absolutely shy in connection to episodes with the girls. Billy lives with his family in the north of England. His father is Jackie Elliot and his brother is Tony Elliot. Billy´s best friend is Michael, who has a kind womanliness in him. Billy´s brother Tony has political and social troubles during the miners strike in 1984. Billy looks up to his teacher miss Wilkinson. Billy is very hopeful and he makes his best even, when he thought of losing.
