English as a Subject in School


I chose A-level English bacause I think English is a very important lanuage, which is spoken all over the world, and in the universities a lot of the books your going to read is written in English. Personally I find the pronunciaion most difficult and it’s a skill I very much would like to improve. If there is a word i don’t now how to pronunce I ask somebody or I look it up in the dictonary, but after a while i don’t remember how to pronunce the word, and then i’m kind a back where I started. Another aspect I find a bit challenging is the part where you have to explain your corrections. Finding the mistakes isn’t a problem, but when I have to explain why it’s a mistake i’m kind a lost. What could I do to improve this skill? Well I could read a little more in the ”Fejlstøversuger”. At last i would like to improve my vocabulary, therefor I think we should have a lot of vocabulary tests, so that your forced into improving your vocabulary. It’s very important to have a good vocabulary, because then you will get a more fluently and better formulatet English.
