A day in London

On the third day of our study trip, we went to London. The teachers gave us some shopping time in London we only had two house, that meant that we had to be quite quick. Kristina and I walk away from the group with a list of what we wanted to buy. However, we could not quite remember where it was we had seen some nice shops. We looked on our map but could not even find the roads we walked on, on the map. As we where standing looking at our map a man came up to us and asked if we where lost.

Great we thought now we could finally go shopping. He said that just a few minutes away there was a very big shoppingcenter and then we walked with him to the center. As we came closer to the center, we could see that the environment changed more and more.
We went into the shoppingcenter and saw that this was not what we had in mind, surrounding us where people of all sorts of nationalities, we where the only white people there. The center was not the sort we usually come. It was a center but it was more like a market place with many stalls it was as if we where in another country like Spain or Brazil.
We walked around this part of London for some time and we did not see any white people. I have never experienced anything like it, it felt as if all of the immigrates was put in one part of the city and in that part they could make their own society. However I do not think that this part of the city was as nice as the other parts we saw, maybe the immigrants just got the left over’s.

It was an new experience for me to see people live that way in a country like England. The English government has not done their job good enough. I do not think it is right to just put immigrants in one part of the city and then let them be. The government should integrate these people better and maybe better integration would reduce the rate of violence and criminality.

A day in London

On the third day of our study trip, we went to London. The teachers gave us some shopping time in London but only two house hours (du mener timer, ikk?), that meant that (jeg ville bare sige so) we had to be quite quick. Kristina and I walked away from the group with a list of, what we wanted to buy. However, we could not quite remember, exactly where it was we had seen some nice shops. We looked on at our map, but could not even find the roads (en vej, ikk?) we walked on on the map. As we where standing looking at our the (du har lige nævnt kortet i sidste linie, så man ved godt, hvad for et kort det er) map, a man came up to us and asked if we where were lost.

"Great", we thought. Now we could finally go shopping. He said that just a few minutes away there was a very big shoppingcenter and then we walked with him (he followed us) to the center. As we came closer to the center, we could see that the environment changed more and more.
We went into the shoppingcenter and saw that this was not, what we had in mind. Surrounding us where was people of all sorts of nationalities, we where were the only white people there. The center was not the sort, we usually come go to. It was a center, but still it was more like a market place with many stalls. It was as if we where were in another country like Spain or Brazil.
We walked around this part of London for some time and we did not see any white people. I have never experienced anything like it. It felt as if all of the immigrates immigrants was were put in one (evt. this) part of the city and in that part (evt. there, hvis du retter one til this, skal der i hvert fald stå enten this eller here) they could make their own society. However I do not think that this part of the city was as nice as the other parts we saw, maybe the immigrants just got the left overs.

It was an a new experience for me to see people live that way in a country like England. The English government has not done their job good enough. I do not think it is right to just (dette tilfører noget talesprogs-agtigt, overvej lige, om det hører til i din opgave. Man kan sagtens sige det!) put immigrants in one part of the city and then let them be. The government should integrate these people better and because maybe better integration would reduce the rate of violence and criminality crime.

Fin opgave, du skal lige være opmærksom på en genganger. Where og were. Rigtig mange har problemer med denne fejl, men altså where betyder hvor og were betyder var i 2. person.
