Hej venlige sjæle.
Er der nogen der vil tage et kig på grammatikken i nedenstående, så ville jeg simpelthen være evigt taknemmelig ;-)

In the extract from ‘’Lady Chatterley’s Lover’’ by D.H Lawrence, 1928, the attitude towards England is very negative. The land is described as dirty, beastly, and unsavoury - A lot of unflattering adjectives are used to indicate that the narrator really just wants to get out of there. The narrator criticizes the hierarchy, and the fact that she thinks men are turned into hard working bastards who made the game of life foul. The narrator is against the industrial progress and everything that has to do with it, and caused by that we sense that he/she thinks that human beings are provoking its own destruction. In the extract we only get to hear about men in general, no names are put on the characters. It’s clearly that the narrator is afraid of the materialism, and worried about people’s commitment of making money. He or she is worried that soon people would have forgotten what charity is, and how to use it. The poem is about the ugliness of industrialism.
In contrast to this negative description of England, we have ‘’The Ecchoing Green’’ by William Blake. The land is described very positive, and a lot of flattering adjectives are used to describe, especially, the beautiful nature. The poem describes a day and uses the sun as a symbol of everyday life. The poem names its characters in contrast to ‘’Lady Chatterley’s Lover’’. The poem is from the romantic period, and that’s one of the biggest reasons why we are aware of the underlined message: Industrialism is ruining the beautiful nature!
Even though one might be tempted to say that ‘’Lady Chatterley’s Lover’’ by D.H Lawrence is a negative poem, and that ‘’The Ecchoing Green’’ by William Blake is a poem that describes England in a positive way, this isn’t exactly the true. Both of them is against industrialism and its consequences – the differences is how they describe it. ‘’Lady Chatterley’s Lover’’ focuses on how evil and destroying the industrialism is, while ‘’The Ecchoing Green’’ focuses on how beautiful nature is and there by describes what we’re about to destroy.
